- Establishes a voucher program for children ages 5-17. Research on vouchers is ongoing, but in many cases voucher programs hurt public schools and the low-income population they claim to help.
- Repeals the Elementary and Education Act of 1965. This means no more Title I – VI funding for schools and the removal of protections for learning disabled and economically disadvantaged children.
- Repeals the Nutritional Act of 2012 (No Hungry Kids Act). The act provides nutritional guidelines for school breakfasts and lunches, ensuring that students nutritional and calorie needs are met. Crucial to low-income children who rely on school meals, sometimes exclusively.
I cannot think of any good reason why anyone would want to support such a bill… unless…
